“Kampong Cham Province” is one of Cambodia's oldest provinces, located in the central plains of the Mekong River, bordering Kampong Chhnang to the west, Kampong Thom to the north and Kratie to the east, Tboung Khmum to the south; Prey Veng and Kandal. The province is divided into 10 districts-Cities, Kampong Cham, Batheay, Chamkar Leu, Cheung Prey, Prey Chhor, Kampong Siem, Kang Meas, Koh Sotin, Srey Santhor and Steung Trang. It is about 124 km from Phnom Penh along National Road 6 and National Road 7. The province is rich in many interesting tourist sites, such as Nokor Bachey Temple, Phnom Cheung Prey Temple, Phnom Han Chey Temple, Preah Theat Teuk Cha Temple, Phnom Pros Phnom Srey, Thmor Da Teuk Cha Agro-tourism, and Koh Pen Beach. Aside from its abundance of tourist attractions, the province is also rich in fruit and other agro-industrial crops such as Durian, Rambutan, Cassava, Tobacco, Rubber, Rice, and many other crops; as a result, this province has the potential to attract tourism and investment.
